Watch Miles Kane and Matt Bellamy bring their Beatles tribute band to SXSW Festival

Here's Dr. Pepper’s Jaded Hearts Club Band....

Muse’s Matt Bellamy and Miles Kane were in attendance for the closing weekend of SXSW Festival, where they rattled a hit-packed set with their Beatles cover band.

Last year, Bellamy and Kane formed Dr Pepper’s Jaded Hearts Club Band, a tribute band that also features the likes of Jet‘s Chris Cester, Nine Inch Nails‘ Ilan Rubin and The Zutons‘ Sean Payne.

And after making their live debut last September, the group returned once more for a show in Austin, Texas – with a setlist crammed full of the Fab Four’s finest hits.

The 11-song set saw them opening with ‘Hey Bulldog’, which was immediately followed by ‘Taxman’ and ‘Helter Skelter’.

Check out the setlist in full below, along with official footage of the show.

  • Hey Bulldog
  • Taxman
  • Helter Skelter
  • Please Please Me
  • Baby You Can Drive My Car
  • Back In the U.S.S.R.
  • Saw Her Standing There
  • Can’t Buy Me Love
  • She Loves You
  • Bad Boy
  • Money (That’s What I Want)

After performing in Texas, they’ll make their London debut later this week to support Roger Daltrey at his Teenage Cancer Trust show.

“I’m very happy to welcome Muse’s Matt Bellamy who will be joining me on my night for Teenage Cancer Trust at the Royal Albert Hall Thurs 22 March”, Daltrey said of the news.

“Matt will be bringing his Dr. Pepper’s Jaded Hearts Club Band including Blur’s Graham Coxon to belt out a set of Beatles classics. It’s their first UK show and will be great fun.”
