Ahead of the release of their new EP tomorrow, ‘Let’s Try The After, Vol 1’, Broken Social Scene have released a new gif-filled video to accompany their latest single, ‘Boyfriends.’

In addition to the Valentine’s Day themed video which is made entirely of gifs, the band have also created a site where people can send their loved ones a Valentine’s e-card.

Back in January, the Canadian band debuted some of the new songs from their new EP on The Strombo Show and revealed the track listing, which you can see below.

Track-listing for ‘Let’s Try The After – Vol.1’
01 “The Sweet Sea”

02 “Remember Me Young”
03 “Boyfriends”
04 “1972”
05 “All I Want”

Last year, the band released their first new music in seven years. Deciding to reunite after a period away, the group’s co-founder Kevin Drew said he was “looking to get back on stage with my family and connect with the people.”

Drew later revealed that it was the Paris terror attacks in 2015 that had cemented the group’s decision to reform.

“The whole reason we got back together was after the shootings in Paris. Everyone sort of got on the phone within the small tribe of us and said, ‘I want to play some shows,’” he said.

“It is interesting because someone told me that A Tribe Called Quest, that was sort of their story too. I think that just affected a lot of people because it was so close to home. So close to home.”

The band’s EP will be released on February 15.
