Watch new music video for The Beatles’ ‘Glass Onion’ ahead of ‘White Album’ anniversary

Next month marks 50 years since the classic album was released

A new music video for The Beatles‘ ‘Glass Onion’ has been released ahead of the 50th anniversary of ‘The White Album‘.

The track appears on the classic album, which was originally released on November 22, 1968.

The new clip features rare footage of the band as animated photos, films and sketches are brought together to create a new poster, which was put together by Paul McCartney and art director Richard Hamilton. Watch the video below.

Last month, it was confirmed ‘The White Album’ would be re-released to celebrate its 50th anniversary. A new edition of the iconic double LP will be available in a series of “lavishly presented” packages with new mixes of its 30 tracks.

The reissue will also include 27 early acoustic demos and 50 session tracks – most of which have never been officially released – and much more.

Meanwhile, Jean-Marc Vallée, the director behind HBO’s Big Little Lies and Sharp Objects, has been confirmed to direct a new biopic about John Lennon and Yoko Ono. He will also rewrite the original script.

Ono released a new, minimalist version of Lennon’s ‘Imagine’ earlier this month, to celebrate what would have been his 78th birthday. The track featured on her latest album ‘Warzone‘, which saw the musician revisit songs from her past and rework them.
