Nicki Minaj has shared two new videos for ‘Chun-Li’ and ‘Barbie Tingz’.
The rapper dropped both tracks on the same day earlier this year. They are slated to appear on her upcoming fourth studio album, which is expected to be released later this year.
The video for ‘Chun-Li’, which follows a previous phone-recorded clip, takes inspiration from Asian culture and opens with a cinematic introduction narrated by Minaj. The ‘Barbie Tingz’ video, meanwhile, sees the rapper delivering a dance routine in front of a white background, dressed variously in leisurewear and as a cartoonish marionette. Watch both videos below.
Minaj hasn’t released an album since 2014’s ‘The Pinkprint’. However, last year she put out a number of tracks, including collaborations with Drake and Lil Wayne (‘No Frauds’), and Migos and Cardi B (‘MotorSport’).
The star recently addressed rumours that she was taking aim at Cardi B on a leaked snippet of a new song, in which she rapped: “I ain’t never had to strip to get the pole position.” Speaking to Beats 1’s Zane Lowe, she said: “I wrote that song in Paris a year and a half ago. It was meant to be for Drake’s new album, so that’s how old that is.”
Cardi B recently denied ever having beef with Minaj, saying that fans on the internet made the whole thing up.
