Pixie Geldof has shared a mesmerising video for her new song ‘Woman Go Wild’.
‘Woman Go Wild’ is the fourth track to be shared from the singer-songwriter’s debut album, ‘I’m Yours’, following ‘Sweet Thing’, ‘So Strong’ and ‘Escape Route’.
The album will drop this Friday (November 4). Geldof will support the album with a headline show at London’s Birthdays on November 9.
Pixie Geldof recently revealed that the tragic death of her sister Peaches motivated her to complete her debut album.
Peaches, the second daughter of Bob Geldof and the late Paula Yates, was found dead at her home in Wrotham, Kent on April 7, 2014. An inquest found that writer and TV presenter Peaches, who was just 25 at the time, died of a heroin overdose.
“I felt very disconnected from a lot of things,” her younger sister Pixie recalled in an interview with NME. “I needed to work and be busy with something I loved, and know there was something solid in my life. [So] I had to pull myself back into that mindset of ‘this what you do, this is who you are, this is what you’ll finish and once that’s done we’ll go again’.”
She continued: “It was important to try and draw a line under the last few years. I don’t know if I can draw a line under a lot of things, but y’know. I had to go hard every day for a long time.”
