Weezer announce new album and two UK live dates – hear new song ‘King of the World’ now

US band will release their tenth studio record on April 1

Weezer have announced details of a new album and plans to play two UK dates in April.

‘Weezer’ is the band’s latest self-titled album and is being dubbed ‘The White Album’ by fans thanks to its all-white cover (see above). It follows similarly blue, green and red themed albums from their back catalogue.

The record will be released on April 1 and includes the singles ‘Do You Wanna Get High?’ and ‘Thank God for Girls’ plus new song ‘King of the World’, which can be heard below.

The band will also perform live in Manchester and London on the week of the album’s release with gigs at Manchester Academy (April 3) and London’s O2 Academy Brixton (April 5) announced today. Tickets for the two UK dates go on sale ay 9am on the morning of January 22 at 9am.

Weezer released their ninth and most recent album ‘Everything Will Be Alright In The End’ in October 2014.
