Weezer have posted a video clip of what appears to be them working on new material in the studio.
The band posted a 20-second clip on their YouTube page, suggesting that they are working on a follow-up to 2010’s ‘Hurley’.
The footage, which you can watch below, features the band performing one track before switching to a different one. The band’s frontman Rivers Cuomo can be seen at the end of the clip before the video fades to black and the message ‘in the studio now’ appears.
Earlier this year, it was reported that the band are reuniting with Cars frontman Ric Ocasek, who produced 1994’s ‘Blue Album’ and 2001’s ‘Green Album’.
Last month, the band embarked on a five-day Weezer cruise, which saw them gather artists including Cat Power, The Cribs and Palma Violets on a boat, sailing from Jacksonville in Florida to the Bahamas. Weezer themselves headlined the event, and there were also performances from Ash, Diiv, Bleached, Holy Fuck, The Orwells and Toro Y Moi.
Weezer frontman Rivers Cuomo is also currently working with Charli XCX on her new album.
