Weezer performed covers of Radiohead‘s ‘Paranoid Android and Wheatus‘ ‘Teenage Dirtbag’ during their set at Sonisphere today (July 9).
The band leaned heavily on their 1994 debut, ‘The Blue Album’, during their 14-song set, with five tracks aired in all, including set opener ‘Undone (The Sweater Song)’ and the closing track ‘Buddy Holly’.
As well as this, the band touched lightly on most of their studio albums, but noticeably chose to ignore their 1996 cult ‘Pinkerton’.
Frontman Rivers Cuomo was in a joyous mood throughout the set, constantly asking the crowd if they were “ready to party” and geeing up the assembled throng regularly.
‘Undone (The Sweater Song)’
‘Surf Wax America’
‘Say It Ain’t So’
‘Island In The Sun’
‘(If You’re Wondering If I Want You To) I Want You To’
‘My Name Is Jonas’
‘Pork And Beans’
Sonisphere continues tonight with a headline set from Biffy Clyro.
