In a week that saw little movement in the Top Ten, Archtechs featuring Nana had the highest new entry at three with ‘Body Groove’, one ahead of Melanie B‘s ‘Tell Me’, while DJ Luck & MC Neat featuring JJ went to Number Eight with ‘Ain’t No Stoppin’ Us’.
Further down the chart, Placebo entered at a disappointing 19 with ‘Slave To The Wage’, two below a returning Roni Size and Reprazent‘s ‘Who Told You’. Sureal, with ‘You Take My Breath Away’, was the only other entry in the Top 20.
The Beautiful South, Monsta Boy featuring Denzie and Faithless‘ Sister Bliss were the other entries in the Top 40.
In the album chart, Madonna held on to the top spot, denying Kylie Minogue a Number One return with ‘Light Years’. Dire Straits frontman Mark Knopfler‘s new solo offering ‘Sailing To Philadelpia’ appeared at Number Four while David Bowie’s BBC sessions went in at Seven and Gomez‘ ‘Abandoned Shopping Trolley Hotline’ nipped into the Top Ten at Ten.
