White Lies give early taste of debut album at Reading Festival

Trio preview 2009 due record on Festival Republic stage

White Lies played a busy set in the

Festival Republic tent this afternoon (August 23) at the Reading Festival.

All dressed in black, the trio – joined by a keyboard player – gave the bustling crowd a taste of their debut album which is due out next year.

Speaking little between songs, the band performed the likes of ‘Unfinished Business’ and ‘EST’ revealing an intense but uplifting sound, before the crowd joined in for a mass clap-a-long for the band’s best-known song, and current single, ‘Death’.

White Lies played:

‘A Place To Hide’

‘Unfinished Business’

‘Farewell To The Fairground’

‘To Lose My Life’

‘From The Stars’
