Whitesnake’s bassist proposes to girlfriend during Atlantic City gig – watch

Michael Devin said he hoped Whitesnake frontman David Coverdale would officiate the wedding

Whitesnake’s bassist since 2010, Michael Devin, proposed to his girlfriend during a concert at the Trump Taj Mahal Casino in Atlantic City last night (July 25).

“I’ll make it quick because it should be,” he began, speaking to his girlfriend Drea de Matteo, the Sopranos and Sons of Anarchy actress. “I fell in love with a very beautiful woman a few years ago and I want to embarrass her as much as I can.”

After bringing her on stage he asked, “Will you make sweet passionate love to me for the rest of my life?” She said, “Forevermore,” after which she agreed to marry him. Devin then revealed he was hoping frontman David Coverdale would officiate their wedding.
