Bobbi Kristina Brown – the daughter of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown – will be buried next to her late mother, reports state.
Brown passed away on July 26 after being in a medically-induced coma for several months. The 22-year-old had appeared in 14 episodes of reality TV show ‘The Houstons On Our Own’, and also performed several duets with her mother on stage.
She was found face down and unresponsive in a bathtub on January 31 of this year. Doctors say she suffered “irreversible brain damage”.
Now, ABC news confirm that Brown will be buried next to Houston at Fairview Cemetery in Westfield, New Jersey on August 3. Her funeral will take place at St. James United Methodist Church in Alpharetta, Georgia on August 1.
Musicians including Snoop Dogg, Sam Smith, The Roots’ Questlove, Erykah Badu, Missy Elliott, Leona Lewis, Ciara and more sent their condolences to Brown’s family following her death.
“Krissy was and is an angel,” her father Bobby Brown said. “I am completely numb at this time. My family must find a way to live with her in spirit and honor her memory. Our loss is unimaginable. We thank everyone for the prayers for Krissy and our family as we mourn my baby girl.”
The Houston family also released a joint statement, saying “It is hard to say goodbye. On Sunday, July 26, Bobbi Kristina Brown made her transition peacefully. The family thanks everyone for their loving thoughts and prayers. As Bobbi Kristina would say: ‘The wind is behind me and the sun is in my face.'”
