The late singer is buried in Fairview Cemetery in Westfield, New Jersey
Whitney Houston‘s headstone has been revealed.
The singer is buried at Fairview Cemetery in Westfield, New Jersey, which is roughly 20 miles west of New York. The headstone features a heart in a teardrop shape and an engraving of the singer’s face. It reads: “Whitney E. Houston Aug. 9 1963 – Feb. 11 2012 “The Voice”.”
The headstone also includes the song title ‘I Will Always Love You’, the Dolly Parton-penned track which was a best-selling Number One single for Houston in 1992.
Whitney Houston‘s cause of death was drowning combined with the effects of atherosclerotic heart disease and cocaine use. Houston passed away on February 11 2012 at the age of 48, after she was discovered underwater and unconscious in a bath at a hotel in Beverly Hills.
The late singer left everything to her only child, Bobbi Kristina Brown. Her daughter, whose father is Houston’s ex-husband Bobby Brown, will receive part of her inheritance after she turns 21, before receiving further payments at the age of 25 and 30.
