Five Whitney Houston tracks are set to enter the UK Top 40 this Sunday (February 19), with a total of 27 set to feature in the Top 200.
The singer passed away last Saturday (February 11) at the age of 48 and her death has sparked a surge of sales, with her classic single ‘I Will Always Love You’ set to enter the Top 10 at Number 10, according to the Official Charts Company.
The other tracks which are set to enter the Top 40 are ‘I Wanna Dance With Somebody’ which is currently Number 14, ‘One Moment In Time’, which is currently at Number 29, ‘My Love Is Your Love’ which is presently Number 30 and ‘I Have Nothing’ which is set to be Number 34. Houston has 22 tracks further down the chart.
In the singles chart this week, DJ Fresh is set to be Number One with ‘Hot Right Now’, which is narrowly outselling Emeli Sande’s ‘Next To Me’, which is Number Two. Last week’s Gotye is set to fall to Number Three with ‘Somebody That I Used To Know’, with David Guetta at Number Four and Flo Rida at Number Five. Jessie J, Alyssa Reid, One Direction and will.i.am currently make up the rest of the Top 10.
In the Official Album Chart, Emeli Sande is set to knock Lana Del Rey from the top of the chart with her debut record ‘Our Version Of Events’.
Adele is at Number Three with ’21’, Gotye is at Number Four with ‘Making Mirrors’, with Ed Sheeran and Maverick Sabre at Number Five and Six respectively. Whitney Houston is also back in the Top 10 with her ‘Greatest Hits Collection’ at Number Seven, with Jessie J, Paul McCartney and Rebecca Ferguson completing the Top 10.
