Brown died on July 26 following a coma after being found unresponsive in a bathtub
Whitney Houston‘s daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown was buried next to her mother following a burial service on Monday (August 3).
The service took place at Fairview Cemetery in Westfield, New Jersey, with family and friends including singer father Bobby Brown and cousin Dionne Warwick paying their final respects.
Brown, the daughter of Houston and Bobby Brown, passed away on July 26 after being in a medically-induced coma for several months. She was found face down and unresponsive in a bathtub on January 31 of this year. Doctors say she suffered “irreversible brain damage”.
“Krissy was and is an angel,” Bobby Brown said following his daughter’s passing. “I am completely numb at this time. My family must find a way to live with her in spirit and honor her memory. Our loss is unimaginable. We thank everyone for the prayers for Krissy and our family as we mourn my baby girl.”
The Houston family also released a joint statement, saying “It is hard to say goodbye. On Sunday, July 26, Bobbi Kristina Brown made her transition peacefully. The family thanks everyone for their loving thoughts and prayers. As Bobbi Kristina would say: ‘The wind is behind me and the sun is in my face.'”
Musicians including Snoop Dogg, Sam Smith, The Roots’ Questlove, Erykah Badu, Missy Elliott, Leona Lewis, Ciara and more sent their condolences to Brown’s family following her death.
The 22-year-old had appeared in 14 episodes of reality TV show ‘The Houstons On Our Own’, and also performed several duets with her mother on stage.
Her mother Whitney Houston died in February 2012 after being found in similar circumstances.
