Will Smith tells son Jaden that he’s working with Drake

The actor and rapper previously revealed that he's recorded new music with Kanye West

Will Smith has claimed that he’s working on new music with rapper Drake.

The hip-hop star turned actor revealed the news on his son Jaden’s new Beats 1 radio show, the new 24/7 radio station running on Apple Music.

During Jaden’s first episode, the younger Smith spoke to his dad about upcoming plans, which includes getting back into music.

“I’m not sure what I’m going to do yet but I’m exploring. I’m in a creative ceiling,” he said, according to Hypetrak.

He continued: “I can’t write and stop, I have to keep going and going and write them out,” before hinting at an upcoming collaboration with the Toronto star.

Will Smith last released an album in 2005 with fourth studio LP ‘Lost And Found’.

He has previously stated that he’s recorded “seven or eight” songs with Kanye West.

Smith was rumoured to be working with West after they had been photographed together in a studio in Brazil during 2013. Smith then went on record as saying that he had been “messing around with Kanye”.

He later added: “You know I’ve recorded a lot. I’ve recorded a lot. I don’t have anything I like yet, but I’ve probably recorded seven or eight [songs]. It’s not for certain, it’s just explorative.”
