‘See You Again’, Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth‘s tribute song to the late Paul Walker, is continuing to set all sorts of records. Having already beaten the Spotify record for most plays in a day and week, the track has broken the UK’s all-time streaming record, racking up a massive 3.72 million listens in the last seven days, outdoing last week’s record-breaking total of 3.68 million.
The song plays over a Walker montage in the hit movie Fast & Furious 7, which Walker was half way to completing at the time of his death. “I was really honoured to be asked to be a part of this song in paying tribute to Paul Walker,” said Wiz in a statement. I hope we did him proud.”
Wiz tops this week’s Singles Chart, with OMI’s ‘Cheerleader’ staying at Number Two. Former chart-topper Jess Glynne’s ‘Hold My Hand’ at Three, Clean Bandit can boast this week’s highest new entry with ‘Stronger’ at Four, while Nick Jonas rises one place to re-enter the Top Five with ‘Jealous’.
The highest climber of the week is Skrillex and Diplo’s ‘Where Are U Now’ featuring Justin Bieber, which shot up 13 places to Number 32.
