Khalifa's is the tenth music video to hit the elite mark

Wiz Khalifa‘s ‘See You Again’ video has become the tenth YouTube video to top one billion views.

‘See You Again’ featured on the Soundtrack to Furious 7, and the movie is at the heart of the video. The track was dedicated to the late The Fast and the Furious franchise actor Paul Walker by Khalifa.

According to Digital Music News, there are ten current music videos with in excess of one billion views, and five more that are expected to hit the mark in the fairly near future.

See you again broke the UK streaming record for plays in both a single day and a week when it was launched earlier this year.

Khalifa’s not had the easiest year, though, having been arrested for marijuana possession in Texas (he put out a free mixtape to celebrate his release) and seen model Amber Rose file for divorce from him after a year of marriage, citing ‘irreconcilable differences’. He also got in trouble in an L.A. airport for riding a hoverboard.

Khalifa plays a short UK tour with A$AP Rocky this month, hitting the following dates:

Genting Arena, Birmingham (October 16)
O2 Arena, London (October 17)
Manchester Arena, Manchester (October 19)
