Midweek update: Wolf Alice at Number One with debut album ‘My Love Is Cool’

New entries also come from Everything Everything, Leon Bridges and Kacey Musgraves

Wolf Alice look set to debut at Number One in the Official UK Album Chart this week with their album ‘My Love Is Cool’ leading the sales figures in today’s (June 24) midweek update.

Official Chart Company data reveals that the band are 1,200 sales ahead of their nearest rivals, fellow new entrants Everything Everything and their latest album ‘Get To Heaven’.

Also new in the Top 10 at today’s midweek point is Leon Bridges’ ‘Coming Home’, new at Number Five, and US country star Kacey Musgraves new album ‘Pageant Material’.

Other new entries in this week’s Official Album Chart at today’s midweek stage include Mika (15), heavy metal supergroup Lindemann (21) and Breaking Benjamin (23). The Jam are new at Number 20 with ‘About The Young Idea – The Very Best Of’.

Meanwhile, in the Official UK Singles Chart, Tinie Tempah is on course to take this week’s Official Singles Chart top spot with Jess Glynne collaboration ‘Not Letting Go’. If its sales momentum continues, Not Letting Go will mark Tinie Tempah’s sixth UK Number One.

The track is currently almost 10,000 combined chart sales ahead of its nearest competitor Lost Frequencies, who enter the Top 40 at Number Two with ‘Are You With Me’ following its download release.

The full chart rundown is announced on BBC Radio 1 this Sunday (June 28).
