Now, they’ve delivered a live session rendition of the BBC Sound Of 2015 poll winners’ ‘Desire’. Watch below.

Speaking previously about their debut, Wolf Alice described the record as a “mix of genres”, with singer Ellie Rowsell telling NME: “It’s 100 per cent not a grunge record. It’s a much braver record than that.”

Rowsell added: “We’ve been making sounds that don’t necessarily sound like guitar and experimenting with the way we use our voices. We’ve tried to match the emotion of the songs in how they’re performed and recorded, tried to make a sad song really feel and sound sad.”

The band tour the UK in September, with gigs scheduled in Bristol, Birmingham, Glasgow, Newcastle, Sheffield, Southampton and Manchester.

Wolf Alice play the following dates:

Bristol Academy (September 16)
Birmingham Institute (17)
