Wolf Alice to headline Standon Calling 2019

They join Nile Rodgers & CHIC and Rag’n’Bone Man

Wolf Alice will headline their second ever festival at this year’s Standon Calling.

The London rockers have been announced alongside Nile Rodgers & CHIC, who join Rag’n’Bone Man in topping the Hertfordshire festival bill.

It will be the Wolf Alice’s second headline set after Margate’s By The Sea in 2018, and follows a successful year for the band who scooped the 2018 Mercury Music Prize for ‘Visions of a Life’.

Other lineup additions for the July 25-28 festival include Echo & The Bunnymen, IDLES, Lewis Capaldi, The Go! Team, Kate Nash, The Big Moon, and The Joy Formidable.

The festival’s 2018 edition saw performances from the likes of George EzraPaloma Faith, and Shame.

Reflecting on the latest wave of new acts announced, founder and festival director Alex Trenchard said: “Every year at Standon Calling we want to bring an experience and show that people will never forget. This year, I feel we’ve done that and more, with one of my favourite bands of the past decade Wolf Alice and one of my favourite bands of all time Nile Rodgers & CHIC topping the bill in 2019.

“From top to bottom there’s something for everyone, and we’re excited to welcome everyone for an incredible weekend this July.”
