Wolf Alice: We want Elon Musk on our next album

Wolf Alice have opened up on their plans for album three – and it seems that there’s some plans for Elon Musk to produce the record. Perhaps.

Speaking to NME at Radio 1’s Biggest Weekend, the ‘Visions Of A Life’ rockers remained teasingly vague, but it seems that an unexpected direction might just be in the offing.

When quizzed on what a third Wolf Alice album might sound like, singer Ellie Rowsell coyly replied: “Your guess is as good as mine”.

But when drummer Joel Amey asked NME to offer our own suggestions, things soon took a cosmic twist as we suggested the possibility of a space-rock inspired record.

“Get Elon Musk involved!”, Ellis jokingly replied.

Although a collaboration with the SpaceX founder remains unlikely, they were much more open to the idea of working with Grimes, after Musk was seen with the ‘Art Angels’ singer at the Met Gala.

The band were also full of praise for Queens Of The Stone Age frontman Josh Homme, after supporting the group on recent US dates.

“We hung out with him and his crew quite a lot!”, Ellis told us.

“They’re very welcoming people, they set a precedent for how to treat a support band on tour.”
