Man arrested after double stabbing at RZA’s New Jersey home

Wu-Tang Clan rapper was not present at the time of attacks

A man has been arrested after two people were stabbed at a party at the home of Wu-Tang Clan’s RZA over the weekend.

New Jersey State Police responded to a report of a stabbing at a Deer Trail Drive home at 1.18am on Saturday (November 7). Two men were left in a serious condition in the Jersey Shore University Medical Center.

Billboard reports today (November 10) that state police have arrested Thomas Norman and charged him with aggravated assault and weapons counts. The 23-year-old’s bail was set at $120,000 (£80,000)

Earlier this year, Wu-Tang Clan confirmed that the only copy of their ‘secret’ (unheard) album ‘Once Upon A Time In Shaolin’ might not come out as a public release for another 88 years, with the buyer to be bound by copyright stipulations for a set period of time. The only copy is stored in a vault in Morocco.

Raekwon has spoken out against the 88-year wait, however, saying:

“Sh*t, 88 years is a long f**king time. That’s a long time for people to be able to hear it. That means we won’t be around. What the f**k do you want me to say? I don’t know what to say. I think at some point people do need to be able to hear it but you got to remember the concept of it was whatever it was, whoever buys it, it’s yours. You hang it up in your house and you do what you do.”

It’s believed that the buyer will have the option – but not the obligation – to hold listening parties.

The 31-track album is expected to make millions at auction, and is being sold through Paddle8, here.
