The follow-up to last year's 'The W' is expected before the end of the year...
WU-TANG CLAN are reported to be releasing a new album before Christmas.
The Clan will release their as-yet-untitled new record, and the follow-up to last year’s ‘The W’, on December 18, which would correspond to a UK release date of December 17, according to Rolling Stone in the US. A single, ‘Pinky Ring’, has been serviced to radio stateside.
Although a UK press representative for the group is currently unavailable to return calls to NME.COM, rapper RZA previously said that enough material was recorded during ‘The W’ sessions for another album, tentatively titled ‘WW2’.
He commented: “We recorded 20 songs in LA and then maybe ten more in New York. But out of the ones we recorded in LA, it was kind of sunshine out there and everything so we had a very uplifting summer feel to the music. But due to certain delays, we had changed a lot of the songs to a winter-feeling album.”
