There's the "ghetto Bedrock", 'Flintstone' pimps and, bizarrely, a kung-fu fight - sounds like a must-see...

Wu Tang Clan shot one video for three new tracks in LA last week.

The promo, shot over four days, between September 16-19, is for the songs ‘Gravel Pit’, ‘Be Careful’ and ‘Protect Ya Neck (The Jump Off)’ lifted from the hip-hop collective’s forthcoming album, ‘The W’.

‘The W’ is slated for a November 20 release in the UK and the following day in the US.

The first single to be lifted from the album in the UK will be ‘Protect Ya Neck (The Jump Off)’, which is scheduled for release on November 6.

[url=]www.mtv.com reports that the video, which in its entirety clocks in at around ten minutes, is based on a Flintstones theme.

“You gotta love it. We’ve got the ghetto Bedrock, and the Wu-Tang are a bunch of pimp ‘Flintstone’ people,” said director Joseph Kahn. “And all of a sudden a kung-fu fight is gonna break out in the middle of it.”

One member of Wu-Tang not at the shoot was Ol’ Dirty Bastard. The rapper, currently in a residential drug rehabilitation programme in Pasadena, California, will not be eligible for release until December 20.

Last Thursday (September 21), ODB, real name Russell Jones, appeared in Los Angeles Superior Court with a representative of the Impact House drug treatment facility for a review of the first half of his programme. It was requested that the rapper be allowed to begin the second phase of his treatment and since all has been satisfactory, the request was granted.

ODB features on five of ‘The W’‘s tracks, having recorded his parts before he went inside.
