New , dancey Wu Tang Clan LP planned for the Summer
The WU TANG CLAN will release their fourth album next Summer, according to an interview with the band’s leader RZA on Sonicnet.
The new album, provisionally entitled ‘WW2’, will be partially compiled from tracks recorded while the rap supergroup were working on 2000’s ‘The W’.
“We recorded 20 songs in LA and then maybe 10 more in New York,” said RZA. “But out of the ones we recorded in LA, it was kind of sunshine out there and everything so we had a very uplifting summer feel to the music. But due to certain delays, we had changed a lot of the songs to a winter-feeling album.”
Hence, the LA tracks will now form part of a new “dancier” LP in Summer 2001.
