Wu Tang Clan to reform

The hip hop legends line up new album and tour

Wu Tang Clan are planning to reunite to record a new album in 2007.

According to Steve Rifkind, CEO of SRC Records’, the hip hop legends have signed up for a one album deal and they are planning to tour next year.

“We’re going to start with this one album and then let’s see where it all goes,” Rifkind told AllHipHop.com. “We always talked about it, but the timing was never really right. And then when we started discussing it a few months ago, the timing of it was just really perfect.”

Rifkind was instrumental in Wu Tang Clan‘s success after releasing their breakthrough album ‘Enter The Wu-Tang (36 Chambers)’ through Loud Records in 1992.

Through Rifkind each member of the band also went on to record separate solo albums on other labels.

Despite their solo work, the rap collective have not released an album since ‘Iron Flag’ five years ago.
