Wu-Tang Clan to celebrate 25th anniversary of debut album at Lovebox 2018

Hip-hop group will perform a UK festival exclusive

Wu-Tang Clan have been announced for this year’s Lovebox Festival, where they will mark the 25th anniversary of their debut album.

The hip-hop group’s seminal debut ‘Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers)’ was released in 1993. It included the classic tracks ‘C.R.E.A.M.’ and ‘Protect Ya Neck’.

Lovebox 2018 will take place at its new home of Gunnersbury Park in Hounslow, West London, running from July 13-14.

Wu-Tang will perform on the Friday leg (July 13), the same day as Skepta, SZA, Diplo, Anderson .Paak, Vince Staples and more.

Their appearance is a UK festival exclusive and all eight surviving Wu-Tang members have been confirmed to perform.

It was recently announced that Childish Gambino, Skepta and N.E.R.D will headline Lovebox this year.

The likes of Mura Masa, Dave, The Internet, Action Bronson and Big Boi will also perform over the two-day fest.

Lovebox was previously held at Victoria Park in East London but, after rival new festival All Points East moved into Victoria Park, Lovebox – as well as Citadel – revealed that they’ll be heading to Gunnersbury Park. The news came after it had previously been declared that they’d be moving to Brockwell Park in South London.

Lovebox was headlined in 2017 by Frank Ocean and Chase & Status, with Jamie xx, Kano, Rag ‘n’ Bone Man, Sampha, Kaytranada and Solange also performing over its two days.
