The xx announce 2017 UK and European tour

The band are taking 'I See You' on the road

The xx have announced details of a huge UK and European tour for 2017, to launch their long-awaited third album ‘I See You’. Full dates and ticket details are below.

Continuing their first dates since April 2014, the band return to the road in February – with their tour kicking off in Sweden and heading throughout mainland Europe. The shows culminate in the UK, including at Nottingham and Cardiff along with residencies at London’s O2 Academy Brixton and the O2 Apollo in Manchester.

Described as “more outward-looking, open and expansive” record, ‘I See You’ was recorded between March 2014 and August 2016 in New York, Texas, Reykjavik, Los Angeles and London and produced by the band’s Jamie Smith, plus Rodaidh McDonald.

Announcing the album and unveiling launch single ‘On Hold’ last week, The xx’s Romy Croft said: “I’m really excited, nervous and excited… I’ve listened to it a lot of times thinking, how can I change it, how can it be different, is this right, is this good. To finally just hear it and let go of it, and for it just be in everyone else’s hands, I can’t wait.”
