A new line of XXXTentacion-themed merchandise is set to be released in tribute to the late rapper.
The rising Florida rapper – real name Jahseh Dwayne Ricardo Onfroy – was shot and killed during an apparent robbery in Deerfield, Florida on June 18. He was 20.
A new eight-piece collection remembering XXXTentacion is now set to be released, with the line being described as “the official memorial merch”. Taking to the late rapper’s Instagram story, a member of his team explained that the rise of bootlegged and unofficial merchandise using XXXTentacion’s likeness was a big inspiration behind the launch of this new line of merchandise.
“There are currently over 1 thousand bootleggers around the world selling clothes with X’s name and likeness,” the post reads. “We wanted to give fans the ability to own and wear a piece of Jah’s artistry while also supporting his legacy. So today we are releasing the first collection of XXXTentacion Memorial Merch.”
The first preview of the ‘Memorial Merch’ collection can be seen below, while pieces from the line can be ordered now.
Footage of the memorial which was subsequently posted online showed fans singing his songs and coming together to share their appreciation of the artist.
