"I want to make sure that my life made at least five million kids happy"
XXXTentacion foresaw his own “tragic death” yesterday in a eerily prescient Instagram video.
The 20-year-old rapper, real name Jahseh Onfroy, was gunned down by two men in a dark coloured SUV as he left a motorcycle shop in Fort Lauderdale yesterday afternoon.
But as the music world continues to react to his death, fans have shared a video that sees the rapper offering thoughts on how he would like to be remembered.
“If worse thing comes to worst, and I f***ing die a tragic death or some s*** and I’m not able to see out my dreams, I at least want to know that the kids perceived my message and were able to make something of themselves and able to take my message and use it and turn it into something positive and to at least have a good life”, the rapper is heard to say in the clip.
“If I’m going to die or ever be a sacrifice, I want to make sure that my life made at least five million kids happy or they found some sort of answers or resolve in my life regardless of the negative around my name, regardless of the bad things people say to me.”
The rapper adds: “I don’t give a f*** because I know my goal in the end and I know what I want for everyone and I know what my message is. I just wanted to say, I appreciate and love all of you and I believe in you all.
“Do not let your depression make you. Do not let your body define your soul, let your soul find your body. Your mind is limitless. You are worth more than you can believe. All you have to do is dream and all you have to do is want to fulfill that dream and have the strength”.
Although tributes have flooded in for the rapper, he was one of music’s most polarising figures – having faced various domestic assault charges.
The footage in question showed the Florida rapper dancing behind a woman, who was filming herself, before he appeared to hit her hard on the side of her head.
Last year, the rapper was also released from prison and put on “very strict house arrest conditions”, after a document from an ex-girlfriend was filed claiming that she no longer wants XXXTentacion to be prosecuted for domestic abuse against her. However, his house arrest was lifted. In October 2016, he was charged with aggravated battery of a pregnant woman, domestic battery, false imprisonment, and witness tampering.
