The band wow their devotees at Brixton Academy with brand new songs...

Yeah Yeah Yeahs previewed new material last night (November 15) at their biggest UK show yet.

The New York art-rockers played a packed-out London Brixton Academy and marked their return to the UK by playing two new songs, the downbeat ‘On Board’ and the disco-flavoured ‘Honey Bear’.

After support from The Duke Spirit, singer Karen O stormed by the stage wearing a black trouser suit which she tore of to reveal a multi-coloured ribbony number.

As well as the new tunes, the band then ran through a host of tracks from 2003 debut album ‘Fever To Tell’ and tracks from their self-titled 2002 EP, including the set opener ‘Bang’.

The band play London Forum tonight, before returning home to continue work on their second album.
