Yeah Yeah Yeahs to replace Beastie Boys at Lollapalooza

Adam Yauch's diagnosis causes rap group to cancel

Yeah Yeah Yeahs have joined the Lollapalooza festival line-up as the headliners for Saturday night (August 8).

Karen O and company will replace the Beastie Boys, who were originally slated to perform that night. Yesterday (July 20), the Beastie Boys announced the cancellation of a slew of summer dates and the delay of their forthcoming album due to Adam Yauch being diagnosed with cancer, as previously reported.

The three-day festival, which will also see performances from Depeche Mode, Arctic Monkeys, TV On The Radio, Tool and festival founder Perry Farrell, is set to take place August 7-9 at Chicago‘s Grant Park.
