Yoko Ono, John Squire art to go onsale for £40

New postcard project set to go live in London

Yoko Ono and The Stone Roses‘ former guitarist John Squire are among the artists who are selling postcards they have created for £40 each in an anonymous sale.

The sale is part of the RCA Secret project, which will see 2,500 artists offering a postcard they have designed for anonymous sale. As well as Ono and Squire photographer David Bailey, animator Nick Park and artist Gerhard Richter have contributed postcards.

The sale will take place at the Royal College of Art in London at 8am-6pm (GMT) on November 21. Viewings will take place on November 13-20 from 11am-6pm (late viewing until 8pm on November 19).

Buyers will have to queue to pick their postcard purchase, with the name of each artist revealed only after they’ve been bought. A raffle to determine the first 50 queue places will take place.

Money raised will go to the Royal College Of Art Fine Art Student Award Fund. See the RCA Secret website for more information.
