You Me At Six have scored their first ever Official UK Number One Album with ‘Cavalier Youth’.

The English rockers’ fourth album outsold Ellie Goulding’s ‘Halcyon’ – which is down to Number Two – by nearly two copies to one over the past week to earn the band their biggest achievement to date, reports the Official Charts Company.

Beyonce‘s self-titled album is at Number Three, Avicii’s ‘True’ is down one place to Number Four and Sophie Ellis-Bextor’s ‘Wanderlust’ completes this week’s Official Album Chart Top 5.

Elsewhere, Of Mice And Men make their Top 40 debut with ‘Restoring Force’ new in at Number 17, while The Rifles’ ‘None The Wiser’ is at Number 21. Daft Punk‘s ‘Random Access Memories’ is this week’s highest climber, up 37 places to Number 29 following their Grammy success.

In the Official UK Singles Chart, Clean Bandit’s ‘Rather Be’ holds on for another week at the top. ‘Feelin’ Myself’, a collaborative effort featuring Will.i.am, Miley Cyrus and Wiz Khalifa is at Number Two. Pharrell Williams’ ‘Happy’ is at Number Three, ‘Ready For Your Love’ by Gorgon City is at Number Four and Katy B‘s ‘Crying For No Reason’ completes the Top 5.

Elsewhere, The Weather Girls‘ ‘It’s Raining Men’ re-enters the Top 40 at Number 31. 40 at Number 31. The track has been the subject of a social media campaign to get it back into the Official Singles Chart following former UKIP councillor’s David Silvester’s comments blaming the UK’s recent bad weather on the government’s gay marriage bill.
