“You need an intervention”: Lana Del Rey hits out at Kanye West for Donald Trump support

"Your support of him is a loss for the culture."

Lana Del Rey has offered an impassioned response to Kanye West, after the rapper reiterated his support for Donald Trump.

The ‘Lust For Life’ star responded on Instagram, after Kanye posted a picture of his own Make America Great Again hat and claimed that it represents “America becoming whole again”.

Commenting on the picture, the star wrote: “Trump becoming our president was a loss for the country but your support of him is a loss for the culture.

“I can only assume you relate to his personality on some level. Delusions of grandeur, extreme issues with narcissism – none of which would be a talking point if you weren’t speaking about the man leading our country.”

She added: “If you think it’s alright to support someone who believes it’s OK to grab a woman by the pussy just because he’s famous – then you need an intervention as much as he does.”

But despite her impassioned post, she wasn’t so sure that it would gain Kanye’s attention – or even have the desired effect.

“Message sent with concern that will never be addressed”, Del Rey concluded.

Although it’s unclear if the pair are currently friends, Del Rey famously performed at Kanye West’s wedding to Kim Kardashian in 2014.

His latest controversial show of support for Donald Trump comes after he was condemned earlier this year for describing black slavery as a “choice”.

He also posted a lengthy string of pro-Trump tweets and defended wearing a MAGA cap.
