Zayn Malik ‘filled with dread’ by the thought of going on a world tour

The singer is struggling with panic and anxiety attacks

Zayn Malik is reported to be “filled with dread” by the thought of going on a world tour.

The former One Direction singer has yet to perform live since launching his solo career, having cancelled what was to be his debut appearance in June.

Malik was scheduled to perform at the Capital Summertime Ball at Wembley Stadium, but pulled out on the day saying he was suffering “the worst anxiety of my career”.

According to the Daily Star, a source close to the pop star said the chances of him touring to promote his debut album ‘Mind Of Mine‘ are very slim.

“Zayn is still really struggling with his anxiety,” they said. “The thought of going on a full world tour fills him with dread.

“Even a one-off TV appearance is unlikely at the moment. Zayn has been working hard to get control of his fears and obviously wants to perform live, but at the same time he doesn’t want to let anyone down by announcing dates and then cancelling them.”

They continued: “He’s feeling a lot of pressure to perform and feels much more comfortable in the studio.”
