Hallelujah! The 80's rockers are 'Prime Mover's again for one night only...

Cult ’80s band ZODIAC MINDWARP AND THE LOVE REACTION are to reform for a one-off gig next month at the Christmas party of trendy mag THE IDLER, NME.COM can reveal.

Zodiac Mindwarp, aka Mark Manning now writes for the publication and was persuaded to play a one-off gig by the rest of the staff. They play a short set at the bash, which is to be held on December 7 at the London Old Street 333 Club.

It’s not yet known who else will figure in the reformed band line-up – previous members, on occasions, have included the KLF’s Jimmy Cauty and Bill Drummond, along with the splendidly monikered Boom Boom Kamboomski, Cobalt Stargazer and Kid Chaos.

The band are most well-known for their single ‘Prime Mover’, which reached Number 18 when it was released in May 1987. It’s expected that they’ll play their hit during their short set, along with a few rumoured new tunes. Support on the night comes from SchwaB and Hell’s Monkeys’ Bontempi Blues Experiment.

TV stars Louis Theroux and Adam And Joe will also be making an appearance at the event, which celebrates the latest issue of The Idler, a paperback magazine that comes out whenever it feels like it and celebrates the loafing lifestyle. Contributors also include Blur’s Alex James and one of it’s founders, John Moore, is in Black Box Recorder. For more information and for tickets, go to [url=]
