Nicki Minaj and Juice WRLD cancel second show due to last-minute technical problems

The rappers are set to perform in London tomorrow night

Nicki Minaj and Juice WRLD were forced to cancel their live show yesterday due to last-minute technical hitches.

The rappers were scheduled to perform in Bordeaux, France yesterday evening (March 9) and are said to have made it through soundcheck before problems arose.

After promoters ultimately pulled the plug on the concert, Minaj shared their statement via her official Instagram. The message cited “technical reasons” for the show’s cancellation.

Over on Twitter, the ‘Queen‘ artist addressed the scrapped Arkea Arena gig, writing: “Why would an artist cancel a show & lose money? What for? When they’re already in the building, dressed, etc. The artist is just as mad as the fans when a show can’t go on.

“I love seeing my fans. Nothing can stop me. B4 the show, juice WRLD & I are just as excited as u guys are.”

Minaj also posted a video apology via Instagram, in which she promised to “make it up [to fans] very soon”.

“You guys, it’s not in my best interest not to perform and lose money and aggravate my fans,” she said to the camera while smoking.

Saying that the venue “just didn’t have the power in the building to facilitate my show”, the rapper claimed that organisers didn’t make her aware of the issues “until three hours before the show, as opposed to when we did soundcheck and they said it was fine.”

Minaj added: “Every artist – every artist – has technical difficulties and have to cancel shows. I wanna tell you guys that I love you dearly and I really hope to make it up very soon.”

Nick Minaj and Juice WRLD’s planned show in Bratislava, Slovakia last month was also shelved for the same reason.

‘The Nicki Wrld Tour’ is set to arrive in London tomorrow night (March 11) with a show at The O2 Arena.
