Game of Thrones star Isaac Hempstead has revealed that a WhatsApp group – made up of everyone who had starred in the long-running HBO show – is now no more.
Last month (September 22), fellow cast member Nikolaj Coster-Waldau – who played Jaime Lannister – confirmed the existence of the group, as did Maisie Williams.
However, it looks as though the WhatsApp group is now at an end. “It’s dead at the moment,” Hempstead, who played Bran Stark, told The Mirror. He added: “It’s petering out.”
Back in September on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Coster-Waldau revealed the existence of the group and that the most prominent voice in the group was Alfie Allen, who played Theon Greyjoy in the show.
He also added that Gwendoline Christie (Brienne of Tarth) and Lena Headey (Cersei Lannister) used the most emojis whilst noting that Peter Dinklage (Tyrion Lannister) was one of the quieter members of the group, usually just posting a ‘thumbs up’ emoji.
He said: “Alfie Allen who played Theon Greyjoy in the show is the most active member on the group. He posts songs for everyone. Gwendoline Christie uses the most emojis, she’s an emoji fan, followed by Lena Headey. Peter Dinklage would also use them, but very rarely and it’s usually just a ‘thumbs up’.” You can watch the full interview below.
In other news, another new Game of Thrones prequel has reportedly been ordered by HBO – and will focus on the rise of the Targaryens.

According to sources speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, the prequel will take place 300 years before the hit HBO show – which came to an end this year – and will focus on Fire & Blood, author George R. R. Martin’s book about the Targaryens.
Further sources, speaking to Deadline, suggest this prequel will come directly from Martin and executive producer Ryan Condal.
Another Game of Thrones prequel has already started filming, with John Simm, Naomi Watts and Josh Whitehouse all cast in key roles.
