Pale Waves announce details of their debut album ‘My Mind Makes Noises’

Pale Waves debut album will be released on 14 September

Pale Waves have today (July 24) announced details of their debut album, ‘My Mind Makes Noises’, which will be released on Friday 14 September

To accompany news of the debut, the Manchester quartet have also unveiled a new song, ‘Eighteen’ which you can listen to below.

Eighteen

Eighteen, a song by Pale Waves on Spotify

The album will feature the singles ‘There’s A Honey’, ‘Television Romance’ and ‘Kiss’.

Recent single ‘Noises’ dealt with issues of body insecurity and mental health with the lyrics “my mind makes noises too much / I feel like I’m slowly losing myself / I’m afraid that I need help” and “Why do I stare so much at my body? / I’m falling, I’m crawling on the floor at night / I know it’s not right but you can’t fix me this time.”

When the band was asked if the album would have much in common with their previous material, Heather Baron-Gracie replied: “You know, they’re pretty similar but the album is more of like a ‘Pale Waves world’. So will have those sort of sad songs, but you will also have those banging singles.”

Earlier this year, the goth-pop band released their acclaimed debut EP, ‘All The Things I Never Said’ following a string of songs that marked them out as one of the most promising new bands in the country.

‘There’s A Honey’ and ‘Television Romance’ were released last summer and were quickly followed by ‘New Year’s Eve’, ‘The Tide’ and ‘My Obsession.’

The track listing for the album is:
