Listen to Pete Doherty & The Puta Madres’ intimate new tune, ‘Paradise Is Under Your Nose’

Their debut LP is just around the corner

Pete Doherty has released a new track with his band The Puta Madres – stream ‘Paradise Is Under Your Nose’ below.

The Libertines and Babyshambles musician recently returned with his latest project, releasing the single ‘Who’s Been Having You Over’ and sharing news of the band’s debut album. Live shows are also set to take place next month.

‘Paradise Is Under Your Nose’ features the band’s guitarist Jack Jones – also a member of Trampolene – sharing vocal duties with Doherty. “Joy is wherever you go / Yeah, you know I’m gonna follow you down,” the pair sing above a gentle instrumental.

Doherty and The Puta Madres release their debut album on April 26. The record is described as “a devastatingly intimate portrait of love, loss and being lost,” and was recorded in a French fishing village across four consecutive days last summer.

Following its arrival, the group will take the new material out on the road in May. You can see the full schedule below.

Meanwhile, Pete Doherty recently offered his views on how Brexit will affect the music industry. “It’ll be the best thing in the world for music,” he said.

“You’ll see, you’ll get the most insane new wave of the most incredible [acts]. You see the difference between writing a poem in prison and writing a poem in a cottage by a lake, you know.

“There will be an incredible backlash.”
