Phoenix have prompted speculation that they are preparing to release new music after updating their social media pages.
The French band have stayed relatively quiet since the release of their 2013 album ‘Bankrupt’.
Today, the group’s Facebook, Twitter and Instagram profile pictures were changed to an image of SMPTE colour bars, commonly used as a test pattern on televisions. It is the first update to their socials in almost over a year.
Phoenix’s official website has also been updated with another image of a test card, one that was used by the French national broadcaster Radiodiffusion-Télévision Française in the 1950s and 60s.
Last year, Phoenix teamed up with Bill Murray to release a charity Christmas single, a cover of Beach Boys’s ‘Alone On Christmas Day’.
