‘Pirates Of The Caribbean 4’ and ‘The Beaver’ to screen at Cannes

Plus the list of competitors for the Palme d'Or is announced

Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides and Jodie Foster‘s The Beaver are among surprise additions to films showing at this year’s Cannes Film Festival.

The line-up for the annual event was announced in Paris today (April 14) and as well as the list of films competing for the Palme d’Or prize, some big name movies will be showing out of the competition.

The Johnny Depp swashbuckler sequel and Jodie Foster‘s new film The Beaver, which stars Mel Gibson lead the out-of-competition films showing at the festival, according to Deadline.com.

Also showing are Xavier Durringer‘s The Conquest and Michel HazanaviciusThe Artist.
