Prince William and Harry weren’t cut from ‘The Last Jedi’ after all

It's just John Boyega up to his old tricks...

It’s been confirmed that Princes William and Harry do make a cameo in Star Wars: The Last Jedi, after John Boyega appeared to suggest that their appearance ended up on the cutting room floor.

As he appeared on This Morning earlier this week, Boyega joked that he was “sick” of discussing the cameo – which was filmed during a royal visit to Pinewood Studios in 2016.

“”Yeah, they were [in it], man. I’m sick of it – yes they were,” he said.

“They’re cut out [of] the film.”

But despite his comments, a representative for Boyega has confirmed that the Royal siblings *do* feature after all.

“I can confirm he was joking”, a spokesperson told the Daily Mail.

The Princes have joined an extensive list of famous faces who have filmed cameos for the sequel – including Tom Hardy and Baby Driver director Edgar Wright.

It was also recently claimed that their appearance as Stormtroopers comes in a scene that sees Rey (Daisy Ridley) and Finn (John Boyega) infiltrating a secret base, before one of the brothers gets up close and personal with Del Toro.

“The Princes dressed up in full Stormtrooper gear and filmed a scene in which Rey and Finn infiltrate a secret base”, a source told the Mail on Sunday.

“The rebel characters are in a lift with Benicio Del Toro’s character when a group of Stormtroopers enter – two of them are William and Harry.”

The source added: “One of them, either William or Harry, slaps Benicio’s bottom.”
