Body of Sally Menke found in Los Angeles
Quentin Tarantino‘s long-time editor Sally Menke was found dead at the bottom of a ravine in Los Angeles yesterday (September 28). She had been missing since Monday.
Concern for Menke‘s whereabouts was raised after she took her dog out for a walk in high temperatures on Monday, reports Latimes.com.
Her body was found in a ravine in Griffith Park; her dog was found unharmed nearby.
The cause of death is as yet unknown, although it has been suggested that she was overcome by the heatwave that hit the city earlier this week.
The 56-year-old had worked with Tarantino since his debut, 1992’s Reservoir Dogs.
Menke received two Oscar nominations for her work on Tarantino‘s Pulp Fiction and Inglourious Basterds.
Her other screen credits include Mulholland Falls and Oliver Stone‘s Heaven & Earth.
Menke is survived by her husband and two children.
