R. Kelly’s manager has reportedly had a warrant issued for his arrest

He allegedly threatened to kill the father of one of Kelly's 'live-in girlfriends''

A warrant has been issued for the arrest of R. Kelly‘s manager James Mason after he threatened the life of the father of one of Kelly’s girlfriends, according to reports by TMZ.

Timothy Savage, whose daughter Joycelyn Savage is reportedly one of Kelly’s ‘live-in girlfriends’ has been speaking out against the singer for a number of months. He says that the rapper has been keeping his daughter captive as part of an alleged “sex cult”.

Police in Henry County, Georgia have now issued a warrant for Mason’s arrest. TMZ reports that he is wanted for “terroristic threats and acts”.

Mason’s alleged threats against Savage were first reported by TMZ in May. Savage told the website Mason called him saying: “”I’m gonna do harm to you and your family, when I see you I’m gonna get you, I’m going to fucking kill you.”

Mason has denied the threats. He told TMZ that his lawyers will respond to the warrant and that he intends to cooperate. When reached for comment by Billboard, the Henry County Sheriff’s Department said that they were not legally permitted to discuss warrant information over the phone.

It is the latest development in longstanding accusations against Kelly. The singer was accused last July of running an “abusive and controlling cult” of young women, while earlier this year he was also accused of grooming a 14-year-old girl to be his “sex pet”. In April, Dallas police confirmed they were investigating allegations that Kelly gave a woman an STD and plied her with drugs and alcohol when she was 19. He has denied all allegations of sexual misconduct.

Joycelyn Savage has featured in a number of videos in which she has seemingly refuted the claims that Kelly is holding her hostage.

Kelly also recently responded to the mounting allegations via a 19-minute track ‘I Admit’, which features the lines: I admit I fuck with all the ladies, that’s both older and younger ladies (ladies) / But tell me how they call it paedophile because that shit is crazy (crazy).
