'Twilight' actor cast in adaptation of Don DeLillo book
Robert Pattinson has joined the cast of David Cronenberg‘s new film, Cosmopolis.
Cosmopolis is based on the 2003 novel by writer Don DeLillo, and follows a day in the life of a newly-married billionaire who manages to cheat on his wife, get stalked, assaulted and lose his fortune the space of 24 hours, reports Thehollywoodreporter.com.
Pattinson replaces Colin Farrell, who was previously announced to play the lead before being required to star in the remake of Total Recall.
Marion Cotillard stars as Pattinson‘s character’s wife, while Paul Giamatti will play one of his two stalkers.
The final installments of The Twilight Saga, entitled Breaking Dawn, are released this year and next. Part 1 will be released on November 18, with Part 2 set for release on November 16, 2012.
Cronenberg‘s other release this year is A Dangerous Method, a British historical biopic based on the 1993 non-fiction book by John Kerr starring Viggo Mortensen, Michael Fassbender, Keira Knightley and Vincent Cassel.
