Sega is bringing back classic Megadrive games for Nintendo Switch

Sega has announced that it’s bringing back some classic Mega Drive titles for the Nintendo Switch.

Later this year, Switch players will be able to buy the Sega Mega Drive Classics – which features more than 50 games in one package.

It’ll include firm favourites such as the Golden Axe, Phantasy Star, Streets of Rage and Sonic the Hedgehog as well as cult classics such as ToeJam& Earl and Kid Chameleon.

But although the games will be a solid throwback to the past, they’ll include some very modern updates – such as online multiplayer, mirror mode, save functions and rewinds.

Meanwhile, Sony yesterday announced plans to revive the PlayStation Classic later this year. It comes preloaded with 20 “genre-defining” games.
