Simon Pegg and Nick Frost are working on a new horror-comedy TV show

The 'Shaun Of The Dead' creators and stars are back at it

Simon Pegg and Nick Frost are working on a new TV show.

The filmmakers are best known for the “Cornetto Trilogy”, which includes the hit films Shaun Of The Dead, Hot Fuzz, and The World’s End.

The pair have now confirmed they are working on a new venture, which will take the form of a paranormal horror-comedy series. Truth Seekers will follow a three-person paranormal investigation team, with each instalment clocking in at half an hour. Each episode will focus on a different paranormal incident.

Speaking to Variety, Pegg said: “Each episode is going to be an adventure, a potential haunting or something. It’ll start as a very parochial idea, a very small business venture for these people, but it will expand as the series goes on to be something far more global.

“It’s a language everyone understands – the mystery of the unknown. Shaun Of The Dead was a very parochial story set in North London and somehow it managed to get this global reach because everyone understands the language of zombie movies.

There is no air date for the show at present, nor is it clear what roles Pegg and Frost will take in the project.

Meanwhile, last year the duo confirmed they were executive producing Slaughterhouse Rulez, a new horror-comedy film funded by their production company Stolen Picture.
